Privacy policy

In short: your answers and progress stay on your phone. You don't have an account with us, we don't need your name or email, we show no ads and we don't track you.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The Today, no later. app and the todaynolater.com website are operated by Finančný partner s.r.o., registered office Švermova 6971/57, 974 04 Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, company ID (IČO): 54 654 319, registered in Obchodný register Okresného súdu Banská Bystrica, oddiel Sro, vložka č. 43844/S. 2. What stays only on your phone

Everything you enter in the app – your chosen topic, starting questionnaire answers, daily emotion cards, course progress, your “Who I am” sentences and settings – is stored only on your device. We do not send this data to any server and we have no access to it.

• PIN and Face ID: you can lock the app with a PIN and biometrics. Face or fingerprint checks are done by your phone's operating system; neither the app nor we ever receive biometric data.
• Deletion: when you uninstall the app, its data is deleted with it. We cannot restore it, because we don't have it.
• Sensitive topics: some topics (e.g. alcohol, drugs, mental health difficulties) may reveal information about your health. That is exactly why they stay with you.

3. Notifications

Reminders and the alarm are scheduled directly by your device. We don't use a server to send notifications. Lock-screen texts are neutral – nobody around you can tell your topic from them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone settings.

4. No ads, no tracking

The app contains no ads, no advertising identifiers and no tracking or profiling tools. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.

5. Purchases

Payment is handled by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google) under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see your card details. The app only receives confirmation from the store that a purchase is valid, so it can unlock the topic you bought.

6. Optional encrypted backup in preparation

This feature is not available yet. We will update this policy before it launches. Our plan:

• Backup will be off by default and only switched on by your own decision (consent).
• Data will be encrypted on your phone (AES-256-GCM) before upload. The server will only hold the encrypted package, a random identifier, a fingerprint of the access key, creation and sync dates and a record of your consent. Neither we nor the hosting provider will be able to read your answers.
• Only a recovery code known to you alone will allow restoring. If you lose it, we cannot restore the backup.
• Legal basis: your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
• The server will be in a data centre in Slovakia (EU); the hosting provider (Websupport s.r.o.) will act as processor. Data will not be transferred outside the EU.
• The backup is deleted when you switch it off, or automatically after 13 months without syncing.

7. Anonymous statistics in preparation

If you allow it in the future (off by default), the app will only send anonymous events such as “one day was completed today in topic X” – no identifier, no answers, no texts. We keep only daily totals, for at most 24 months. You can withdraw consent at any time.

8. This website

todaynolater.com uses no cookies, no analytics tools and no external fonts or scripts. For security purposes, the hosting provider (Websupport s.r.o.) may keep technical access logs including IP addresses only for as long as needed for security. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

9. When you email us

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and deal with your request. We keep them only as long as needed to handle your request, for no more than 2 years. Please don't send us sensitive health information – we don't need it to help you with the app.

10. Age

The app is intended for adults only (18+). We do not knowingly process data of people under 18.

11. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, the right to object and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You are in full control of the data on your phone. Because we don't know your identity, for the backup (once available) we can only handle a request with the backup identifier shown in the app (Art. 11 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Slovakia, the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk), or the authority in the EU country where you live.

12. Changes

If we change this policy (for example when the backup launches), we will publish the current version on this page and tell you about significant changes in the app.
